Gas Safety Week 2024 – Every Check Counts

Gas Safety Week is taking place 9-15 September 2024! This year’s theme is ‘Checking—Every Check Counts.’ Big or small, every check is crucial for your safety. From booking your annual safety check to checking your Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm is working, every check can help keep you safe.

Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas which has no taste, colour, or smell but it can make you feel seriously ill and can kill quickly and without warning.

CO can be produced when poorly maintained, incorrectly fitted or badly repaired appliances do not burn fuel completely, this could be gas, wood or charcoals. Check our Carbon Monoxide Safety Leaflet here, It also includes the main symptoms of CO poisoning.

We have also created this leaflet to highlight our Top 10 Tips to keep you safe and warm in your home

Have your gas appliances checked annually by a Gas Safe engineer and if you have a gas emergency, such as carbon monoxide or a gas leak, call the national emergency helpline on 0800 111 999. For further advice visit GasSafetyWeek.co.uk
