Glasgow Kiltwalk 2018

A group of PHA employees recently took part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2018, walking thirteen miles from Clydebank to Balloch to raise money for charity. The group, made up of eleven members of staff, called themselves Calum’s Cheeky Chicks in tribute to the charity they were raising money for; Calum’s Cabin.

Calum’s Cabin offers a holiday retreat on the Isle of Bute for children suffering from cancer. It is a space for children to come with their families, to spend quality time together and allow some respite.

The group are still collecting donations but the final figure raised is set to be in excess of £1000. Partick Housing Association has pledged to match 10% of the total to support this worthwhile cause.

One staff member said “It was such an enjoyable day with so many people involved and we are pleased to have raised so much for Calum’s Cabin. It was great to hear about all the worthy causes other groups were supporting too “.

Well done to everyone who took part on the day.
