Partick Works Ltd
The
focus of Partick Works Ltd (PWL) is economic enterprise, property
development and social regeneration. The company is involved either
directly or indirectly in an ambitious development programme, including
new build, tenement rehabilitation, backcourt improvements and commercial
conversions.
In addition, the company provides development services to other Housing Associations and acts in partnership with both the private and public sector. The company assists in the economic regeneration of the Partick area and potentially wider neighbourhoods through the provision of workspaces. Income from the rent is recycled to other enterprise initiatives through the company’s sponsorship policy.
Social regeneration and development activity are closely intertwined. While some projects are undertaken directly, others are achieved through the creation of charitable trusts, such as the Friends of Mansfield Park (FoMP) or the Partick Youth Project. Such projects have multiple outcomes and contribute to the vibrancy of the neighbourhoods in which we work.
