RAISING THE STANDARD AND GOING FOR GOLD

The Association has always been proud to have achieved IIP Status (Investors in People), but now we are delighted to report that we have gone beyond what is expected and have achieved gold status. By demonstrating our commitment to training and development of our most important asset - our staff we have achieved this prestigious award. This means that the Association has joined an elite group of UK employers who have attained IIP's highest accolade.

BYRON STREET SHARED EQUITY SCHEME

Work is progressing well and on time at the Association's latest development at Byron Street. The site is in Whiteinch, just off Dumbarton Road, West of the Thornwood roundabout. The flats will be ready for occupation in May 2010

The project will deliver:

  • 13 flats for rent for Partick Housing Association
  • 14 flats for rent for Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association
  • 17 Shared Equity Flats for sale

The shared equity close includes:

  • 8 one-bedroom flats
  • 4 two-bedroom flats
  • 5 three-bedroom flats

These flats are for sale at a discount of up to 40% off the market value. The sales prices at the full discount are:

  • One bedroom flats : £76,200 to £80,700
  • Two bedroom flats: £90,000 to £93,000
  • Three bedroom flats : £94,800 to £103,200

FERRY ROAD NEW BUILD

Partick Works Ltd will shortly submit a planning application for their site at Ferry Road, next to Yorkhill Park.

The Association bought the site in September 2008 and plans to build 87 flats, 66 of which will be for social and market rent and 21 to be sold under the Government's Shared Equity scheme.

ON A TIGHT BUDGET - NEED HELP WITH HOUSEHOLD GOODS

Partick Homes Ltd is keen to offer advice and assistance to new and existing tenants who may need household goods but who are unable to fork out large amounts of money to buy new furniture, bedding, cutlery, carpets or white goods.
