LEAD CONSULTANT REQUIRED FOR MAJOR COMMON FABRIC REPAIRS PROJECT

Partick Homes Ltd requires the services of a Lead Consultant to implement a major common repairs project to the B listed former Partick Fire Station situated in Partick, Glasgow.

The essential requirements are

  • Experience in forming and leading mixed discipline design teams
  • Experience of implementing major fabric repairs projects involving tenemental and 'B' listed buildings
  • Experience of liaising with mixed tenure residents' groups
  • Awareness of environmental issues and sustainability in major repairs/refurbishment projects

162 Dumbarton Road, Partick - vacant ground floor commercial premises. The premises to be stripped out to create a shell for potential letting. The strip-out to comprise of removal of non-loadbearing partitions (blockwork and timber stud construction), removal of flooring, lowered ceilings, wall linings, doors, assorted debris, all electrics and plumbing, heating and ventilation, loose fittings and furnishings. All of the work is internal.

The removal of a redundant lift shaft (empty but enclosed by brick walls) and the replacement of the enclosure walls in structural steelwork is to be included. A small area of in-situ concrete floor is required within the lift shaft.

A drilled damp proof course and eradication of dry rot is to be included.

The excavation and replacement of limited areas of underground drainage is to be included.
